An infrared bridge with a Wi-Fi radio. It sits in line of sight of the air conditioner and learns or selects that unit's code set, then repeats the commands the app sends. Nothing is rewired and nothing is replaced - the appliance keeps its own controller and gains a second one.
That is the whole value and the whole limitation. Infrared is one-way: the bridge can tell the unit to turn on, but it cannot read whether the unit did. Anything stateful - actual room temperature, whether the compressor is running - has to come from a separate sensor.
The supplier lists Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for commissioning, USB power, and North America among its main markets. They give ROHS and CE with certificate numbers in the qualification table, and no FCC entry. IR range is not published. USB power supply is not included unless stated in the variant.
Each line below is one combination: this device, that hub, that firmware — with the date it was checked on the right. For ecosystems not listed here, we make no claim.
Editor’s note: The supplier publishes ROHS and CE certificate numbers in the qualification table and no FCC entry, so the page repeats exactly that. Infrared control is one-way and line of sight - the page says so instead of implying the bridge knows the room temperature. IR range and unit weight are not in the supplier's table and are therefore absent.
